The Taylor‑Hammond Research Scholarship was established in July 2005 to assist a young researcher in Australia or New Zealand to undertake a project to increase the knowledge and understanding of a particular aspect of obstetric or gynaecological practice. The scholarship is being offered annually under the auspices of the RANZCOG Research Foundation.

The first recipient was Dr Kate Stone MRANZCOG, PhD. Her research project is “Metabolic syndrome and endothelial dysfunction in pregnancy”. This work is being conducted at the Mercy Hospital for Women, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia during 2006.
